After today's session behind the closed door, PM Sanader said that he fully supported freedom of the media as well as responsibility for what the public is informed about.
"Freedom of the media also implies responsibility. As regards the Croatian government, we will always be committed to this as this is our orientation, and the right of citizens to information is a pillar of democracy," Sanader said.
The director of Croatian Radio-Television (HRT), Mirko Galic, described this year's EBU assembly as very important for the institution of Eurovision. Galic announced the establishment of a special sports group inside Eurovision in which HRT would enjoy a separate status.
The two-day assembly in Dubrovnik has pooled heads of public television stations from about 70 member-countries.
