The distribution which began in early May ended recently. A distribution contract was signed last year after Agrokor obtained all the necessary certificates and import permits from the National Sanitation Foundation and the Food and Drug Administration.
Jana will initially be distributed in more than 3,000 outlets in the State of New York by Big Geyser, one of the biggest distributors of water and nonalcoholic beverages in that part of the US.
A sales agreement has also been reached with retail chains such as Safeway, Walgreens, 7/11, Whole Foods, and specialised health and beauty stores such as GNC and CVS.
Agrokor said that nearly EUR10 million had been invested in the international promotion of Jana to date.
