Ahead of an HSS meeting in Stupnicki Kut near Slavonski Brod on Saturday, the leader of this junior partner in the ruling coalition told reporters that he was confident that the coalition had invested maximum efforts to see to it that the negotiations be completed and therefore the cooperation and efforts in this sense should go on, instead of calling for immediate elections.
"I believe that we are able to complete the negotiations during the Hungarian presidency. If this does not happen, a decision should be certainly made on when the elections will be held, while the (EU entry) negotiations will end when they end," the HSS chief said adding that the HSS "is a responsible partner to the ruling coalition.
Commenting on anti-government protests, Friscic said they he supported them as a democratic right but that he did not support violence and damage done to people and property.
