Parliament head says Kosor will address MPs if new elements appear

ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic said on Wednesday he had talked with Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on the Opposition's demand that the premier should address parliament on the issue of the government spokesman's statements on last Saturday's protests in Zagreb and that she had told him that there were no new elements and that she could say nothing new.

Bebic said in parliament on Wednesday evening that Kosor had said she would address the parliament if some new circumstances appeared.

All day four opposition parties gathered in the Alliance for Change coalition insisted in parliament that PM Kosor should address MPs over spokesman Mladen Pavic's claims that the Opposition is behind the rioting. The Opposition also insisted Kosor should set a date for the parliamentary elections.

Opposition parliamentary parties rejected Pavic's statements as untruth.
