The HUP has been carrying out the Benchmarking Project since 2003 in cooperation with the Dutch consultancy firm Nehem International. The project covering 50 Croatian companies and 30 business consultants, is sponsored by the Dutch government and supported by Croatia's economy ministry.
Addressing today's conference, Dutch Ambassador to Croatia, Lionel Strenghart Veer, said that such projects could contribute to the successful development of economic relations between Croatia and the Netherlantds and to the increase of Croatia's exports to the Dutch and other markets,
Recalling that last week the Dutch Foreign Trade Minister, Karien van Gennip, and a group of Dutch business people visited Croatia, the ambassador said that Dutch entrepreneurs were very interested in investing in Croatia but that they had reservations about the legal protection of investors and the slow administration.
