The payment of tax refunds to tax payers is being conducted at a regular pace and in accordance with the pace of the processing of tax return applications, the Finance Ministry said.
The Tax Administration has received 877,037 tax return applications for 2004, and has so far processed 556,211 i.e. 64 percent.
In addition, almost 850 million kuna has been paid back as tax refund, which is almost 70 percent of the planned amount for 2004.
The ministry also reported that the tax collection was being conducted in accordance with plans. The total revenues in the state budget in May this year were by 10.3 percent higher than in May 2004.
The ministry reiterated that all figures regarding the budget revenues so far this year indicated a rise in economic activities.
