The sudden cancellation of the news conference provoked a number of speculations among reporters, but the Office of the High Representative said the conference was cancelled due to technical reasons.
"Everything went normal. Unfortunately, Mrs del Ponte arrived a little early which is why she left a bit early too," spokesman for Ahdown's Office Oleg Milisic told reporters.
Answering reporters' questions, the spokesman said the del Ponte-Ashdown talks focused on "all issues which are normally being discussed" and said it was yet another "entirely ordinary meeting".
Milisic told reporters to request additional information from del Ponte and her office.
All of del Ponte's meetings in Sarajevo today were held behind closed doors. She spoke with Republika Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Matijasevic, EUFOR and NATO commanders in Bosnia and representatives of the association called "The Mothers Of The Enclaves From Srebrenica And Zepa".
Ahead of Del Ponte's arrival, the Office of the High Representative said that over the past two months relations between Bosnia and and the ICTY came to a standstill, adding that the main responsibility laid on the Bosnian Serb entity.
