ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - The parliamentary majority on Wednesday rejected all bills discussed over the past two days, mostly proposed by opposition parties.

The parliament rejected a Social Democratic Party (SDP) bill proposing the introduction of a zero VAT rate on children's goods and equipment, newspapers and radio and television subscription fees.

Most deputies also voted against a bill on medically assisted insemination sponsored by Frano Piplovic of the Democratic Centre (DC).

The parliament withheld support for a bill on radio and television subscription fees proposed by Zeljko Pavlic, who suggested that the subscription fees be determined according to the average salary in a county and not according to the average salary at the national level. A bill on a parliamentary TV network was turned down as well.

The parliament will continue its 14th session next Wednesday.
