MOSTAR, May 18 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) has announced that its deputies to the upper house of the state parliament would vote against the draft act on the public broadcasting service (RTV) which was passed on Tuesday by the parliament's House of Representatives.

The new law envisages the establishment of three RTV centres: in the capital of Sarajevo, and in Mostar and Banja Luka, but this solution was not satisfactory for the strongest Croat party in Bosnia.

"The network of RTV centres does not guarantee the equal use of the Croatian language and we insist on the opening of a separate RTV channel in the Croatian language," the party's deputy to the state parliament, Filip Andric, said on Wednesday.

According to him, the club of Croat deputies in the House of Peoples will not accept the said law.

Andric said that the HDZ BiH might send the law to the country's Constitutional Court for consideration.

In case the Court turns down the party's demands, the HDZ will lodge an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, he added.
