PRISTINA, May 3 (Hina) - A two-day meeting of representatives of Croatia, Albania and Macedonia, signatories to the Adriatic Charter, ended in Tirana on Tuesday with the adoption of a declaration once again highlighting that accession to NATO was a strategic goal of all three countries.

The participants in the meeting, representatives of the three foreign ministries, were later received by Albanian President Alfred Moisiu, who said he was optimistic and felt the three countries would join NATO by the end of 2006 at the latest.

Also attending was Assistant State Secretary Kathy Stephens of the United States, which cosigned the Adriatic Charter in 2002 and supports Croatia, Albania and Macedonia in meeting conditions for NATO membership.
