ZAGREB, April 26 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic has accepted in principle an invitation to attend the 10th meeting of the Igman Initiative in Belgrade in July, Mesic's office said in a press release on Tuesday.

Mesic received the president of the Citizens Committee on Human Rights, Zoran Pusic.

The committee is one of three nongovernmental organisations from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which launched the Igman Initiative, a project whose goal is reconciliation, the establishment and normalisation of relations in politics, the economy and culture between the three countries, as well as the introduction of European standards in relations in the region.

The Igman Initiative was set up in Zagreb in 2000.

Pusic handed Mesic the bilateral agreements signed within the so-called Dayton triangle as well as draft agreements to be signed which have been drawn up by the initiative's experts.

Pusic also informed the president about some human rights violations which are in his committee's jurisdiction.
