HSD president Zdravko Tomac said the coalition would declare war on corruption and bribery in Zagreb. The coalition's candidates will be experts who were not involved in corruption and privatisation scandals, he said.
HIP president Miroslav Tudjman said the coalition supported the reconstruction of the Homeland Altar at Mt. Medvednica overlooking Zagreb, where foreign delegations would pay tribute, as well as the naming of Zagreb airport after the first Croatian president, the late Franjo Tudjman.
Tudjman believes that Zagreb should become a European and national metropolis which he said would decide about its identity on its own and not bow to anyone's dictate.
HSLS official Darinko Kosor advocated the reduction of local taxes, the adoption of a strategy of the city's economic development and the improvement of its transportation system.
