At the incentive of Italian journalists' associations, Florence on March 10-12 hosted a meeting of representatives of journalists' associations and media from Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Qatar and Tunis.
After debates also attended by columnists and civil association activists from Israel, Egypt, Morocco, and Albania, they set up the international forum as an institutional form of multilateral and bilateral cooperation of journalists.
The forum will convene once a year.
Representatives of associations and media from Croatia, Italy, Spain, France and Qatar were appointed to the forum's executive committee.
