At talks with Krizevci mayor Branko Hrga and Krizevci-Koprivnica County prefect Josip Friscic, both sides expressed wish for the establishment of stronger cooperation between the two regions.
According to the Italian official, the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region strongly supports Croatia's admission into the EU. He said the Italian region was interested in establishing joint companies and promoting programmes and projects which can count on the support of the EU pre-accession funds.
The Italian province is taking part in the reconstruction of the Vukovar-Srijem County and Osijek-Baranja County. The delegation from Trieste met Croatian Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic in Vukovar on Monday to discuss the reconstruction of that eastern Croatian city.
