He was speaking in Croatian Television's primetime news on Saturday, commenting on the establishment of the government in exile of the so-called Republic of Serb Krajina (RSK) in Belgrade today. RSK was the unrecognised statelet established by Serb rebels in Croatia in the early 1990s.
"That's a small group of people who think that 'Greater Serbia' is current. 'Greater Serbia' was defeated, definitely defeated 10 years ago, and there is certainly no chance of any realisation of such fantasies," Sanader said.
Asked to comment on today's session of the RSK parliament in Belgrade, at which the RSK government in exile was formed by about 40 exiled politicians from once occupied Croatian territory, Sanader said they were people who had not realised the political reality.
"The political reality is that Croatia won the war which had been imposed and that as far as Croatia is concerned, we are absolutely and definitely done with the idea of the Greater Serbia conquerors." He added those people should not be taken seriously.
"As far as Croatia is concerned, for us that was finished in (Operation) Storm, the magnificent Storm when we won and liberated the country," Sanader said.
