BELGRADE, Feb 25 (Hina) - Former Bosnian Serb Army General Radivoj Miletic, accused by a UN court for war crimes against Muslims in Bosnia, has decided to surrender to the tribunal in The Hague, the Serbian Government said in a press release on Friday.

Miletic decided to surrender after talks with Justice Minister Zoran Stojkovic. The Serbian Government will provide the necessary guarantees while the accused is on provisional release pending trial.

The general decided to surrender because it is "in the best interest of the state and his family," according to the press release. He will depart for the Netherlands on Monday.

The Hague tribunal yesterday unsealed an indictment against retired Bosnian Serb General Milan Gvero which charges him and Miletic with crimes against Muslims committed in the safe havens of Srebrenica and Zepa in 1995.

A third person is mentioned in the indictment. The name has not been officially revealed but it is believed to be Bosnian Serb General Zdravko Tolimir.
