ZAGREB, Feb 17 (Hina) - The Independent Croatian Trade Unions (NHS)federation has said that the minimum living costs of a four-memberfamily in January amounted to 6,205 kuna and the average salaryamounting to 4,352 kuna covered only
70 percent of the consumerbasket.

federation has said that the minimum living costs of a four-member family in
January amounted to 6,205 kuna and the average salary amounting to 4,352 kuna
covered only 70 percent of the consumer basket.The average wage in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka could cover
79.94 percent of the living costs of a four-member family, while the average
wage in the southern Adriatic town of Duborvnik could cover only 65.15 percent
of the costs.
The consumer basket does not include the costs of education, health
care, holidays and sport activities, and care for new-born babies. It is
assumed that the family does not have a car.
