ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Monday definedchanges to the law on the organisation and jurisdiction of ministriesand state administrative organisations and thus created conditions forthe merging of the European
Integration Ministry and the ForeignMinistry, government sources reported.
ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Monday defined
changes to the law on the organisation and jurisdiction of ministries and state
administrative organisations and thus created conditions for the merging of
the European Integration Ministry and the Foreign Ministry, government sources
reported.The government made this decision during a telephone session. It sent
the amendments to parliament, moving that they be adopted in urgent
procedure.
Parliament is expected to debate the amendments as early as tomorrow
afternoon. If parliament adopts the amendments, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader will
be able to propose that incumbent European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar
Kitarovic takes over the Foreign Ministry portfolio.
