ZAGREB, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament President Vladimir Sekson Thursday sent a message of congratulations to Rene van der Lindenon his appointment as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of theCouncil of Europe, the Sabor's public relations office said.
ZAGREB, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament President Vladimir Seks on Thursday sent a message of congratulations to Rene van der Linden on his appointment as President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Sabor's public relations office said.

I believe that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe under your chairmanship and in cooperation with elected deputies of European national parliaments will continue building a Europe based on the uniting of all joint potentials, Seks wrote among other things.

In this sense we would like to see increased cooperation between the Council of Europe and the European Union, Seks said.

Rene van der Linden of the Netherlands succeeded Austrian Peter Schieder in this post.
