Speaking to reporters before the lunch, Sanader said that the main topic of the meeting would be Croatia's integration with the European Union.
Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul, European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic and Croatia's chief negotiator at the talks on EU entry, Vladimir Drobnjak, also attended the lunch.
Sanader and the three officials on Monday visited Brussels where they discussed the course of preparations for accession talks with senior European Commission officials, including EC President Jose Manuel Barroso and Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn.
Barroso and Rehn confirmed that the EC was completing a negotiating framework for Croatia which will be adopted by the board of commissioners on February 2. They also called on the Croatian government to meet, in the interest of starting the entry talks within the set deadline, its obligation of full cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague and do its utmost to locate runaway general Ante Gotovina and transfer him to The Hague.
The Croatia-EU entry talks are scheduled to start on March 17.
