police said on Sunday.

overnight in Trilj, about 30 kilometres northeast of the southern Adriatic city
of Split, police said on Sunday.The 50x50cm marble plaque, bearing the inscription "To the victims of
Communist terror and to all Ustashas", was erected in a public green space by
the bank of the Cetina river and was removed by utility workers on Sunday
morning, the Split Police Department told Hina.
The police said an investigation was under way to identify the
perpetrators.
