Some 200 protesters gathered in the city's central square, seeking the annulment of last Sunday's presidential vote. Led by Rajh and Margetic, they proceeded to the building housing the offices of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), where they demanded the annulment of the first round of presidential elections. After some time, they dispersed peacefully.
The police said that the rally did not disturb public peace and order and that there was no need for a police intervention.
The police yesterday pressed petty offence charges against presidential candidate Boris Miksic for holding a protest rally in Zagreb on Monday evening without having announced it.
