ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - The exhibition "Books of Words: the Tanah,
Bible and Koran in Croatia", featuring some 200 different editions of the
Tanah, Bible and Koran from the collections of the National and University
Library (NSK) and religious communities, was opened at the NSK last
Thursday. The exhibition features copies of the Tanah, Bible and
Koran that were issued in Croatia or had a religious and cultural impact on the
country.
The purpose of the exhibition is to underline the same origin and roots
of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which includes a higher level of
coexistence and mutual understanding and acceptance based on the messages of
one creator - Jahve, God and Allah, said NSK director Josip Stipanov.
The exhibition will be open until January 31 and it can also be visited
at the NSK's web site.
