ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - Croatia and Portugal will intensify cultural cooperation, Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic told reporters on Tuesday after talks with his Portuguese counterpart Isabel Pires de Lima, who is visiting
Croatia for the first time at the invitation of Minister Biskupic.
ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - Croatia and Portugal will intensify
cultural cooperation, Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic told reporters on
Tuesday after talks with his Portuguese counterpart Isabel Pires de Lima, who
is visiting Croatia for the first time at the invitation of Minister
Biskupic. Biskupic said the talks focused on issues of cultural
cooperation based on long-standing cultural and historic ties between the two
countries.
He said Croatia took part in the EXPO 1998 in Lisbon and presented
itself with an exhibition called Roman Glass from Croatian Museums.
Biskupic said it was important to advance cooperation in cultural
heritage, adding that Portugal had excellent experts in that field.
Minister Pires de Lima thanked her host and invited him to attend an EU
ministerial conference in the second half of 2007 when Portugal is scheduled
to take over the EU presidency.
