SARAJEVO, Dec 15 (Hina) - The negotiating teams of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the European Commission ended the technical negotiations
on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement in Sarajevo on Friday, but the
document will not go into force until Bosnia meets the previously agreed
political conditions. The head of the negotiating teams, Igor
Davidovic and Dirk Lange, confirmed that the technical part of the negotiations
was successfully completed and that the two sides agreed on contentious
regulations on export quotas and customs protection.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn has issued a statement welcoming
the completion of the technical part of the negotiations, saying the European
Commission would inform the EU member states of the results.
Rehn reiterated that the main problem in Bosnia was the police
reform.
