In response to questions from the press during his visit to the town of Vukovar on Monday, Seks said that he had emphasised all the time that these should be only and exclusively autonomous decisions made by courts and judicial officials and that neither the legislative nor the executive branch of power should comment on the case.
Asked by reporters whether the parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission and the Sabor should bring a new decision on stripping Glavas of immunity in case that courts ask for remanding him in custody, Seks said that there were some legal uncertainties and that his opinion was that there was no need for the parliament to discuss and make decisions on the matter.
"When the Sabor once makes a decision approving the detention of a person suspected of a certain crime, that decision covers the entire sequence of events," Seks said adding that some other law experts hold a different position.
