SIBENIK, Nov 29 (Hina) - A national forum on Croatia's accession to the European Union was held in the central Adriatic city of Sibenik on Wednesday, with participants discussing consumer protection, the alternative settlement of
disputes and novelties in legislation regarding consumer protection.

to the European Union was held in the central Adriatic city of Sibenik on
Wednesday, with participants discussing consumer protection, the alternative
settlement of disputes and novelties in legislation regarding consumer
protection. The gathering was organised by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and European Integration in cooperation with the Ministry of the
Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship. Attending were some 50 representatives of
state institutions, local and regional government units, business enterprises,
and consumer protection associations.
"The rights of consumers form the basis of a free and democratic
society and are an indispensable part of a free market economy," Foreign
Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said.
