MP Sisljagic reads Glavas's letter to reporters

OSIJEK, Nov 21 (Hina) - Parliamentary deputy Vladimir Sisljagic on Tuesday evening cited Branimir Glavas as saying that he will persist in a hunger strike until the end because he did not wish to live in a "criminal state".
OSIJEK, Nov 21 (Hina) - Parliamentary deputy Vladimir Sisljagic on Tuesday evening cited Branimir Glavas as saying that he will persist in a hunger strike until the end because he did not wish to live in a "criminal state".

Glavas said this in a letter which he read to Sisljagic over the telephone from the prison hospital, with a request that the letter be made public.

The letter also said that his only sin was that owing to his own naive character he enabled the man who sat at the helm of Tudjman's party to win at the 7th general assembly of the Croatian Democratic Union by stealing some 300 votes, adding that soon after that this man became Croatia's prime ministers.

Glavas said Sanader was his "prosecutor, judge and executioner" who sent him a deal to the prison which Glavas did not want to take because the only condition for his release was that he kept quiet, Sisljagic cited Glavas as saying.

"I will not keep quiet. Between living in this criminal state and dying, I will rather chose death," Glavas said in his letter which Sisljagic read to reporters.
