Parl. foreign affairs committee considers appointments of new ambassadors

ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The Croatian parliamentary committee on foreign affairs on Thursday approved proposals for the end of terms of four ambassadors and for the appointment of six ambassadors and consuls-general, Hina learnt from unofficial sources.
ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The Croatian parliamentary committee on foreign affairs on Thursday approved proposals for the end of terms of four ambassadors and for the appointment of six ambassadors and consuls-general, Hina learnt from unofficial sources.

At its closed session in Zagreb, the committee supported the appointment of Zeljko Kirincic as the next Croatian ambassador to Ukraine, Veselko Grubisic to Ireland, Tomislav Car to Slovakia, Darko Bekic to Tunisia and Cameroon, Damir Kusan to Finland and the appointment of Vladimir Duvnjak as the consul-general in Bavaria.

The committee also supported letters of recall of Marin Andrijasevic in Finland, Viktor Broz in the Czech Republic and the current consul-general in Bavaria, Zvonko Plecas.

It also supported a motion for recalling Bozidar Gagro who is currently the ambassador to France and Algeria and also the Croatian ambassador to UNESCO.

Although it was expected, the committee did not discuss proposals for the appointment of the director of the national broadcasting corporation (HRT), Mirko Galic, and Hina's director, Mirko Bolfek, to ambassadorial posts in France and Algeria respectively.
