October.
ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - Vjekoslav Vidovic, the first president of
the Croatian Supreme Court after the country gained independence and former
chairman of the Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO), died in a Zagreb hospital on
31 October. Vidovic, who was born on 14 March 1919 in Kelemen near
Varazdin, was appointed Supreme Court President in December 1990. He was at
that post until February 1992, after which he started working for the HHO.
Vidovic's funeral is scheduled for Monday, 6 November, at Zagreb's
central cemetery Mirogoj.
