SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - The State Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday found Bosnian Serb Nikola Kovacevic guilty of war crimes and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - The State Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina on
Friday found Bosnian Serb Nikola Kovacevic guilty of war crimes and sentenced
him to 12 years in prison. After the trial that started in April,
the Penal of Judges sentenced Kovacevic for imprisonment, torture and
persecution on ethnic grounds.
The former member of the Bosnian Serb army was involved in crimes
committed against the non-Serb population in Sanski Most and other parts of
Bosanska Krajina.
Bosnian prosecution said it would appeal.
