After the construction of the gas pipeline to Split by 2010, the extension of the pipeline to Ploce will be constructed by 2010, after which the south-most Croatian town of Dubrovnik will be connected to the national gas piping network, Plinarco representative Vladimir Djurovic said.
The president of the expert association for gas, Miljenko Sunic, said the greatest problems in the establishment of gas piping in Lika and Dalmatia would be the preparations of documents and the building of regional and local distribution networks.
Simunic wondered if the consumers wold have the possibility of connection through local nd regional gas pipe lines by 2010 considering negative experiences in obtaining a location permit for the job and strict regulations of the Croatian environmental protection ministry. He said it was necessary to change the regulations.
Assistant minister Zeljko Tomsic agreed the ministry had strict regulations when it came to documentations, adding that location permits were extremely important, because before they are issued nothing can be done.
He said the ministry had strict regulations because there were no physical plans.
