wood-processing companies from Croatia and Serbia met in Vinkovci, eastern
Croatia, on Wednesday to discuss possibilities of cooperation and joint
ventures on third markets, notably Russia. The meeting was organised
by the Wood-Processing Industry Council at the Croatian Chamber of the
Economy.
Assistant Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ivica Grbac said the
Croatian government had recognised the significance of the wood-processing
industry, into which it would invest over the next five years 201 million kuna
in non-repayable funds and 4.1 billion kuna in loans.
