ZAGREB, Oct 9 (Hina) - The number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays in the first eight months of 2006 was as planned, two percent up from the same period last year, despite a one percent drop in August.
ZAGREB, Oct 9 (Hina) - The number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays in the first eight months of 2006 was as planned, two percent up from the same period last year, despite a one percent drop in August.

The State Bureau of Statistics has reported that there were 2,605,066 arrivals and 16,929,176 overnight stays in commercial accommodation facilities in August, a one percent drop in relation to August last year.

Statistics also show that 8,314,315 tourists visited Croatia in the first eight months, accounting for 44,651,885 overnight stays, a two percent increase in relation to the same period last year.
