The announcement was made before a government session in Sisak on Thursday during talks with local authorities, business people and members of Parliament from Sisak County.
Sanader said the government would form a commission to elaborate a Sava navigability project, highlighting the importance of exploiting the unused potential of the river.
The prime minister said that for today's session the government had prepared several projects in support of the economic development of the Sisak region, citing the construction of a Zagreb-Sisak motorway, the modernisation of the Sisak oil refinery and the construction of a slipway for river boats.
