MARIJA BISTRICA, Oct 15 (Hina) - The Archbishop of Sarajevo,
Cardinal Vinko Puljic, on Sunday celebrated Mass in Marija Bistrica on the
occasion of the first pilgrimage of Catholics from the Sarajevo Archdiocese to
the Croatian shrine. Speaking to the faithful, including several
thousand Croats from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Puljic called for family unity,
recalling that Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina were the guards of faith in all
difficult times, "from the Ottoman empire to the Yugoslav totalitarianism".
Commenting on the attitude of the international community to Croats in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, he urged equal rights for the Croat community in the
neighbouring country.
