Mesic and Sanader discussed the current state of affairs in Croatia and the situation in Bosnia, Hungary and Austria, namely in the neighbouring countries in which elections have recently been implemented. The president and the prime minister expressed conviction that Croatia would continue to cooperate with new leaders in the spirit of good-neighbourly relations, the statement said.
Commenting on the current state of affairs in Croatia, the two officials stressed the state institutions must do their jobs in line with the law and the Constitution.
Mesic and Sanader also agreed to continue to hold regular consultations once a week, the statement said.
