The events, to last until October 9, were organised by the Polish Embassy and the Zagreb City Libraries, of which the City Library is part.
The events are part of the City Library project "World in Zagreb", which makes the Croatian capital a unique city in the world, the head of the Zagreb City Libraries, Dubravka Bastic, said.
Polish Ambassador Kazimierz Kopyra called on residents of Zagreb to visit the exhibition in large numbers.
Visitors will be able to learn interesting details about Poland's rich history, culture and science.
The vice-chairman of the Polish Chamber of Books, Piotr Dobrolecki, held an introductory lecture about the book market in Poland.
