Seks and his German guests expressed satisfaction with bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation, which they said had significantly improved over the last year. Seks thanked Germany for the support to Croatia in the implementation of reforms on its way to the European Union.
Willsch said that all members of the German-Croatian friendship group supported the continuation of EU enlargement and saw Croatia in the EU, and commended the country's efforts in the protection of ethnic minorities.
The head of the French-Croatian friendship group, Patrick Bloche, supported Croatia's admission to the EU, stressing that the two countries shared the same Mediterranean space as well as interest in closer cooperation in the field of Francophony.
Seks said that Croatia was interested in France's rich experience in parliamentary democracy, which he said had been partially integrated in the Croatian Constitution. He thanked French deputies for the help offered in the continuation of the process of decentralisation, which France successfully completed 25 years ago.
