The talks revolved around Croatia's efforts to meet criteria for NATO membership, cooperation between Croatia, Albania and Macedonia, covered by the U.S.-Adriatic Charter, border control in the region, Croatia's participation in the NATO-led peace missions in Afghanistan and the alliance's forthcoming conferences in Quebec and Latvia.
According to the head of the Croatian delegation, Kresimir Cosic, the American hosts supported Croatia's efforts to join NATO and Zagreb's plans to get in 2008 an invitation card for admission to NATO.
On Tuesday, the ten-member Croatian delegation held a number of meetings with US Congressmen and Senators.
