ZAGREB, Sept 27 (Hina) - An investigation into the allegations
about war crimes which parliamentarian Branimir Glavas and Krunoslav Fehir
believed to have committed in the eastern city of Osijek in 1991 resumed on
Wednesday with the questioning of a witness, a former member of the 106th
brigade of the Croatian Army. Zagreb County investigating judge
Zdenko Posavec declined to say what the witness had said as the investigation
is classified.
Posavec announced that he was going to Belgrade next week to question
prosecution witnesses: Snezana Beric, his brother and sister. Beric claims that
she was maltreated in Osijek in 1991 on Glavas's order.
Also on Wednesday, the suspect Glavas said that he would ask the
judicial authorities of Croatia and Serbia to be allowed to attend the
investigative proceedings in Belgrade and the interviews of the four witnesses
by judge Posavec.
