The IRE is an economic and scientific institution, founded with the aim of developing a European network of regions and cities to improve information and economic possibilities in IRE members, Schausberger said.
He announced a meeting of IRE regions and cities to take place in Varazdin in November. The event will focus on the possibilities of using EU pre-accession funds for regional projects, primarily those referring to infrastructure.
Croatian regions and cities that are members of the IRE are Varazdin, Istria and Karlovac counties and the towns of Vitrovitica and Osijek.
