ZAGREB, Sept 5 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE Mission in Croatia, Jorge Fuentes, on Tuesday noted a trend of decreasing Mission activities following the Mission's repeatedly favourable assessments of Croatia's progress in meeting most

ZAGREB, Sept 5 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE Mission in Croatia,
Jorge Fuentes, on Tuesday noted a trend of decreasing Mission activities
following the Mission's repeatedly favourable assessments of Croatia's progress
in meeting most international obligations, including refugee return and the
restitution of returnees' property, reform of the judiciary, the rule of law,
protection of human and minority rights, the strengthening of civil society,
and regional cooperation, the Croatian parliament said in a statement. Ambassador Fuentes was speaking at a working meeting, held in the Mission's
Zagreb headquarters. The meeting was attended, at the ambassador's invitation,
by the head and a deputy member of the Croatian parliamentary delegation to
the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Tonino Picula and Nikola Vuljanic
respectively.
Fuentes announced that the OSCE Mission, thanks to Croatia's progress,
would soon complete some of its activities, but added that more time was needed
for some chapters and programmes from the Mission's mandate related to the
post-conflict legacy.
