"Apart from employees who have declared themselves as belonging to an ethnic minority, there are 0.02 percent of undecided employees, 0.098 percent of employees with undeclared ethnicity, 0.004 percent of employees who have declared themselves members of a region, and another 0.156 percent of employees," the ministry said, adding that it took into account minority representation when granting employment.
Commenting on ministry data on the number of Muslim employees, Tankovic told Hina that there is no Muslim minority in Croatia and that Muslims ceased to exist as a nation since the Congress of the Bosniak people in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1993.
He said that the Ministry of the Interior avoided employing Bosniaks and cited the case of a Bosniak woman applying for a position in Petrinja.
Considering their share in the local population of Petrinja, Tankovic said that Bosniaks have the right to proportional representation in state administration bodies in line with the Constitution.
