Grabar Kitarovic and Frendo described the relations between their countries as very good and friendly.
They said that the two Mediterranean countries also enjoyed good prospects for the enhancement of their bilateral cooperation.
According to the press release, the two ministers are confident that Croatia and Malta have interests in developing their cooperation, particularly in tourism and the economy.
Officials will also consider possibilities for Croatia to learn from Malta's experience from its negotiations with the European Union before it became an EU member.
Minister Frendo confirmed that Maltese President Edward Fenech-Adami would arrive in Zagreb this October for an official visit to his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Mesic.
