ZAGREB, Aug 13 (Hina) - Banks in Croatia have been experiencing a fast growth of credit activity and total loans in late June amounted to 175.4 billion kuna, 4.5 billion more than in the previous month. In relation to June 2005, total
loans granted were up 33.8 billion or 23.9%. The nominal annual growth rate of commercial loans exceeded the growth rate of household loans. The Croatian National Bank reported that household loans in late June amounted to 86.4 billion, 1.4 billion more than the month before. In the first six months, the public sought loans worth 7.8 billion. Household loans in June were 16.6 billion higher than in June 2005. The nominal annual growth rate of household loans was 23.8%. Commercial loans in late June amounted to 69.8 billion, 1.8 billion more than in May. In the first six months, commercial loans grew by 7.7 billion and were 13.7 billion higher than last June.
