ZAGREB, July 29 (Hina) - The annual consumption of alcohol in Croatia is 10.9 litres per capita, which puts Croatia on the fifth position on a European list of countries with the highest alcohol consumption, according to surveys
conducted by the Public Health Agency within a European survey on addiction.

Croatia is 10.9 litres per capita, which puts Croatia on the fifth position on
a European list of countries with the highest alcohol consumption, according to
surveys conducted by the Public Health Agency within a European survey on
addiction. Around six percent of Croatians are addicted to alcohol,
and the Croatian survey shows that alcohol is becoming increasingly attractive
to young generations.
Countries which have higher annual alcohol consumption than Croatia are
Luxembourg - 13.7 litres, the Czech Republic - 11.5 litres, Hungary - 11.3
litres and Germany, with 11 litres per person.
