BRUSSELS, July 5 (Hina) - NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will arrive in Zagreb on Thursday to hold talks with top Croatian officials, President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, regarding Croatia's bid to
join the alliance.

Scheffer will arrive in Zagreb on Thursday to hold talks with top Croatian
officials, President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, regarding
Croatia's bid to join the alliance. Croatia has so far concluded the
fourth annual Membership Action Plan (MAP), a programme which NATO has drawn
up for countries-aspirants.
Croatia together with Macedonia and Albania constitute the
U.S.-Adriatic Charter, a group of countries-candidates for NATO membership
covered by MAP.
