The exhibition features a pilot project which is aimed at transforming seven locations along the Adriatic coast to enable them to preserve the values and uniqueness of the local landscape based on the principle of sustainable development and make them new destinations in the global tourism industry.
The pilot project is financed through the Matra program of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, which has been supporting social transformation processes in EU candidate countries by improving the capability of local communities and NGOs to integrate development demands into urban development plans.
The project was launched by the Croatian Architects Association and the Berlage Institute from Rotterdam, which today also organised a day-long seminar called "The Mediterranean As It Could Be".
