ZAGREB/ANDORRA, June 11 (Hina) - Croatia and Andorra are two friendly countries that have good political relations without any outstanding issues, Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and her Andorran counterpart Juli Minoves said at a press conference in Andorra on Sunday.

Grabar-Kitarovic, who was on an official visit to Andorra on Sunday, met Minoves for talks on relations with the European Union and the situation in Southeast Europe, and took the opportunity to invite her host to visit Croatia, Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry spokeswoman Ivana Crnic told Hina by telephone.

Minoves said that Andorra wanted to strengthen its political relations with small European countries that would one day become full members of the European Union.

The two ministers also discussed ways of promoting economic cooperation between Croatia and Andorra, which is slight at the moment. Andorra expressed its interest in investing in the Croatian tourism industry.

Agreeing that Croatia and Andorra should exchange official visits more often, Grabar-Kitarovic and Minoves announced that a meeting of business people from the two countries would be arranged soon.

Minoves visited Zagreb in June 2002, while former Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula visited Andorra in January 2003.

Croatia and Andorra established diplomatic relations in 1995.
